These are my drawings from my project 'see through'.

The top drawing is done using acrylic paint, I really like using acrylics as they look really neat and colourful and create a good texture. I also used acrylic paint on the bottom left picture but I applied the paint using a spatula and I layered the paint to create more texture and to make it come out from the page. The bottom right picture is a simple line drawing, using pencil. It is very simple and it is a good image to use again and again as it is a blank drawing.

On this mount board I have an ink drawing, which links up to the bottom photograph creating a similar effect, which I edited in Photo Shop using filters just like the two top photographs. The bottom image is a collage using acetate, tissue paper, thread, acrylic paint and I also used a hot glue gun for the highlighted areas.

This is a self portrait I have drawn for my portraiture project, I used four A1 sheets that were attached together to create a bigger surface. We used grid reference to transfer a photograph of ourselves over to the page, then we added shading, detail and tone using charcoal.

Packaging Design

I first started by creating a Mood Board using Photos, Surface Pattern and Colour to really show my personality, as I was creating a Package that would theatrically advertise me if I was an object to buy in stores.

These are the Photos of my Final Package. I Designed the whole thing in Adobe Illustrator as I wanted a hand drawn effect, then I added media such as Acrylic Paint and Pen to add colour and definition. I used a pyramid shape with ribbon looped through each point so when put back together it could be tied using the ribbon keeping it secure as well as adding decoration.

Dark Winter

These are a compilation of photographs I took in the snow. I edited them in Photoshop using blend tools and your everyday tools such as Hue/Saturation and curves. Using these techniques I made the photographs look grungy and old, to add to this I hand made a frame, cut out of scrap wood and used a hammer to damage the surface and edges to create a distressed look. The paint round the edges creates more of a grunge feel to the piece as it is messy and dark.

Memories

This piece of work is from a book making project, where I researched different artists and their different techniques including: Sewing, ripping, folding etc..

I decided to make a book with all my memories in it, the ones that stood out in my mind. By creating paper effects in the book, I think it adds to the emotion of some of the photos and feelings.

Fruity Wall Hangings

'Food' was the starting point for this piece of work. I looked at all the different kinds of food, as each one has a
different surface and texture.

After researching different foods I finally decided on the fruit 'Pomegranate' as this would create patterns on fabric from its natural juices, without the need to use dye's and ink. I then applied machine embroidery, hand stitched French knots and holes in a random design on each piece of fabric.

Floating Dresses

In this piece of work, I was asked to shoot a commercial still life photograph without models, this was asked to be conseptual. Adam Voorhes' truely inspired me towards this final piece of work with his exploding photographs.

I really wanted to make people think how the images where created.
